About the Opportunity

Are you an aspiring software developer looking to work on impactful, real-world projects—right from your home? Booz Allen Hamilton is inviting university students to join their University Software Developer Internship Program, designed to empower the next generation of tech leaders.

This isn’t just another internship. At Booz Allen, you’ll work in a fast-paced Agile environment, helping to build and enhance cutting-edge systems that solve meaningful problems. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on full end-to-end software development, from concept to deployment.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with a team of skilled developers to design, develop, test, and maintain modern software applications.
  • Learn new tools and technologies that align with real-world client solutions.
  • Contribute to problem-solving initiatives that improve software performance and user experience.
  • Assist in building secure, scalable, and efficient software systems while following best practices.
  • Analyze user requirements and contribute ideas for future functionality and system enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with programming languages or frameworks such as:
    Python, GoLang, Java, C, C++, Spring, React.js, Node.js, or Angular.js
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, expected graduation by Spring/Summer 2027
  • Eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and OS-level environments
  • Understanding of SQL or Oracle databases
  • A degree path in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related fields

Security Clearance and Work Model
