About the Role

Horizontal is building a cybersecurity tool that enhances email and file sharing security. As a frontend developer, you’ll play a key role in developing Microsoft Office add-ins that integrate with tools like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy Microsoft Office add-ins using JavaScript and Office APIs
  • Ensure the add-ins are high-performing, secure, and user-friendly
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to ensure a seamless user experience
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize Office add-ins
  • Stay current with Microsoft development frameworks and security updates
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for the tools developed

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript development
  • Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs
  • Eagerness to learn cryptographic principles (prior experience is a plus)
  • Clean, efficient, and well-documented coding practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office API
  • Hands-on knowledge of secure development workflows and add-in architecture
