About the Role

NMI is looking for a passionate and skilled Web Developer with strong experience in WordPress and Zendesk to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building user-friendly websites and enhancing digital support systems.

As a Web Developer, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining our websites and support platforms. Your contributions will directly impact how users experience our brand online.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins
  • Configure and manage Zendesk to improve support workflows and user engagement
  • Work closely with the design and marketing teams to implement visually appealing pages
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, speed, and responsiveness issues
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress and Zendesk
  • Perform regular updates, security audits, and backups
  • Improve SEO rankings through optimization best practices
  • Track and analyze website performance using analytics tools
  • Stay informed on the latest web development trends and tools

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in building and managing WordPress websites
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
  • Experience in configuring and customizing Zendesk
  • Familiar with web hosting, domain setup, and SSL certificates
  • Understanding of SEO strategies and tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other CMS platforms or frameworks
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and webhooks
  • Understanding of UX/UI design concepts
  • Awareness of accessibility standards and web compliance

Salary: $60,000 – $76,000 per year
