Role Overview: Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Tempus, you’ll be an integral part of a fast-moving and autonomous product team. You’ll build impactful software products using modern technologies to improve patient outcomes and support healthcare providers in their mental health journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers to create scalable web applications.
  • Build and maintain responsive front-end features using React and TypeScript.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy, and maintain.
  • Contribute to backend services using Node.js and ensure seamless data flow between frontend and backend systems.
  • Help shape and improve development best practices and product direction.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for both frontend and backend development.
  • Solid experience using React or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and product-centric development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Points for:

  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • Exposure to Generative AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Salary & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 (based on location and experience)
